Will You Weep for Me?
I cannot weep, for my selfish reasons
Nevermore a tear, from my eyes will you see,
Dare I cry for me, while men die in all seasons,
Will you weep for me?Weep then for me, when I'm afraid and wounded,
When my way is dark, and I cannot see,
Toil and lifely care that I must soon dread
Will you weep for my?Will you weep for me, when I lay dying,
And lateness of life, halts that which is to be,
The body goes to dust, and love goes on forever,
Will you weep for me?Will you weep for me, when others have forgotten,
The mark I made on life, for others left to see;
And some men walk the path, but don't know where they're going,
Will you weep for me?Roy Cecil Gibson, Jr.
